Meeting & Presentation by Author James Adams

There will be a plant exchange at 5:30 in the parking lot, followed by a membership meeting beginning at 6:00pm.  Non-members welcome to attend.  No RSVP required.

Presentation
James Adams is an Associate Professor of Molecular Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Southern California. He has been involved in learning Chumash healing since 1998 and teaches this healing to medical, pharmacy, and other students at USC and other places. Western plants have been used for thousands of years in healing. In his book, Healing With Medicinal Plants of the West, co-written with Chumash healer Cecilia Garcia, Mr. Adams provides information and traditional usage for hundreds of plants, and this book will be available for sale at the meeting. His lively and informative talk will mainly concentrate on plants found in our area.
